Crews gain ground on wildfire burning near Nova Scotia national park

HALIFAX – Nova Scotia’s Natural Resources department says despite challenging weather conditions, firefighters have gained ground on an out-of-control wildfire near Kejimkujik National Park.

The province says crews held the line on Wednesday, making progress on the 350-hectare fire that is now 35 per cent contained.
