Eatonia Oasis Living Organizing Santa’s Shop This Christmas

Christmas Program Looking for Donations

For the past 25 years, the West Central Crisis and Family Support Centre has organized the annual Christmas drive, Santa’s Hut.  The program is designed to help children build self-esteem by providing kids a chance to buy Christmas gifts independently and in a budget-friendly way for parents/guardians or siblings.

The program offers brand-new, donated items to children 14 and under for kid-friendly prices—$.25 to $6.00.

This year, the Crisis Centre will be taking a break in order to revamp the for next year. However, in order to keep the program in operation for the 2019 Christmas season, Eatonia Oasis Living has stepped up to the plate to run the project this year.

Eatonia Oasis Living is asking locals, or clubs and businesses to donate money or new gifts (new only), suitable for children to buy for their family members. Organizers mentioned that there is always a shortage of gifts for men and teenagers, something to keep in mind when you are shopping for donations.

Cash donations are also welcomed, as the cash enables organizers to purchase exactly what is needed.

Donation drop off locations are at Eatonia Oasis Living and the Town of Eatonia Office. Or you can mail your donations to Eatonia Oasis Living, Box 217 Eatonia, SK, S0L 0Y0.

Santa’s Shop in Eatonia will be held on December 14, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Community Hall.

Official tax receipts will be issued for any cash donation of $20.00 or more.

You can contact Holly Odland, the Santa’s Shop Coordinator at 306-430-4180 or email at hmj99@live.ca.
