Recently these items were illegally dumped at the old landfill. For those who may not know, cameras are installed in the area and are working, therefore, any individual caught illegally dumping will be issued a fine.
The only materials allowed at the old landfill are:
– approved recyclable materials (cardboard/paper/plastics) and must be placed in bins provided.
– Compost (grass clippings, leaves and small tree branches (basic yard compost only)– must be placed in compost area located at the front of the building to the left or south. No other wood material or pellets are accepted.
– Steel/Metal materials accepted by Western Salvage during regular business hours.

It’s important to remember that we all need to do our part in keeping Kindersley and area tidy. This includes using the landfill and recycling areas properly. Last year, a suitcase, shovel, deer head, plastic bags, running shoes were found at the Kindersley Recycling Centre. None of these items, including dead animals, are meant for the blue bin, so please discard these in the waste bin.
