KCIP Funding Assists Community Organizations in Kindersley

A total of $45,151 will be distributed to 18 organizations for the 2018-19 Kindersley Community Initiatives Program (KCIP) grant.

The grant is made possible through Saskatchewan Lotteries funding that is issued annually to municipalities on a per capita basis and is intended to encourage involvement in recreation, culture, and sports activities.

Allocation of the funds is based on the recommendation of an adjudication committee that evaluates all applications. A total of 22 applications were received as of the June 22 deadline. The following organizations have been selected to receive funds:

Town of Kindersley Kindersley Aquatic Centre equipment $ 5,000
Kindersley Antique Threshing Club Seeding and Threshing Demo $ 3,000
West Central Abilities Sensory Room $ 2,500
Kindersley Skating Club Fall School $ 2,000
Kindersley Soccer Equipment and Facility $ 2,000
365 Cadets Program Rentals $ 1,800
iKids Club Summer Camp $    750
Kindersley Sledge Hockey Tournament hosting $ 2,000
Pathway to Wellness Special Needs Program $ 3,500
