Kindersley Chamber of Commerce Launches ShopKindersleyOnline Project

Project Launched to Challenge Online Retailers

A new project launched by the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce aims to encourage local shopping in Kindersley and assist in the economic growth of local businesses.

The popularity in online shopping has increased and has been affecting the sales for small businesses. The Kindersley Chamber aims to shake up this new trend with their new and exciting project.

According to a news release, the SHOPKINDERSLEYONLINE will be set up for all businesses to join.

The website will accomplish two things:

  1. Inform shoppers as to all the products we offer in our Kindersley businesses.
  2. Disrupt the tide of online purchases and turn them back through our doors, strengthening the community in the process.

The Kindersley Chamber will be putting together statistics to demonstrate what happens to a community when consumers purchase items online or out of their local town.

Even though the planning for this project is still in its infancy the Kindersley Chamber is excited about this new approach for the small businesses and consumers of Kindersley.

Dates for informational meetings will be released soon.

For those wishing to participate, your business will qualify if:

  1. – Is a Kindersley Chamber of Commerce member
  2. Has a door doing business in Kindersley and/or has an immediate Kindersley profile

Currently the Chamber of Commerce is looking for businesses that are not members of the Kindersley Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is asking non-Chamber members to submit their email address, mailing address and all information pertaining to their business. The Chamber will use this information to contact non-members with regards to the SHOPKINDERSLEYONLINE program.

A survey will be sent to all participating businesses.
