The Klippers lost 6-3 to the Flin Flon Bombers last Friday.
The Klippers started off the game solidly in the lead, scoring their first goal just 1:38 into the first period, and two more goals within the first five minutes of the second. That’s when the Bombers began to surge ahead, scoring their first 5 goals before the beginning of the third period. The Bombers scored a final goal before the end of regulation, leaving the game at 6-3. The shots were at 27 for the Klippers, and 52 for the Bombers.
Despite some penalty trouble, the Klippers put up a fight and according to assistant coach Blaine Formadas, of the Klippers, it was in “one of the hardest places to win.” He also mentioned, the Bombers’ coach told the Klippers that they were every bit as good as the best team they’d played.
