Nomination Votes for Cypress Hill-Grasslands Starting Friday

Voting Begins This Weekend

The nomination race for the Cypress Hill-Grasslands will be decided this weekend when Conservative party members within the riding caste their ballots to see who will replace retiring David Anderson.

The nomination candidates include: Sean Checkley from Fox Valley, Kyle Bennett from Shaunavon, Megz Reynolds from Kyle, Kelly Williamson from Pambrun, Norm Norgulen from Assiniboia, and Jeremy Patzer from Swift Current.

Because the sheer size of this riding, four locations have been chosen for voting, whereas normally nominations would happen in one location.

The four locations include: Maple Creek, Kindersley, Assiniboia and Swift Current. Instead of one evening, the voting will be held over a two day period from Friday June 14th to Saturday June 15th.

Speeches by the candidates will be at 6:00pm on Saturday at the Swift Current High School. After voting is finished and ballots are being counted David Anderson will also be speaking. The winner will announced after ballot counting on Saturday.
