Red Lions Looking to Continue Winning Streak

The Lions are looking to continue their recent red-hot streak and stay on the comeback trail tonight (Friday, March 2nd) in game two of the SHA Provincials against the Lumsden Monarchs.

Back to back wins have seen Kindersley tie up their Sask West Hockey League semi against the Macklin Mohawks 2-2 and the Lions will look to give the Monarchs a taste of the same medicine tonight in round two of the SHA provincials.

But after going 0-2 in a five game SWHL series against Macklin, the Lions are now just one game away from securing a final with the Wilkie Outlaws. Kindersley will be looking to make a second comeback. The Lions know how to dig deep and are looking strong, and after scoring 12 in two games against the Mohawks, they will be confident that they can bring that form back into the provincials. The Ismond’s are scoring for fun, and with more fire power from locals boys Neigum and Calkins, the Lions seem to be a sure thing to score goals.

If the Lions can beat Lumsden tonight, then the SWHL game five against the Mohawks, will go on Wednesday, March 7th at Macklin. Should the Lions lose tonight game five will be brought forward to Sunday, March 4th, at 5.30 p.m.

Go Lions!
