Saskatchewan seeding nearing end

Seeding is nearing completion in Saskatchewan following another good week of weather, according to the weekly crop report from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, released May 31.

Approximately 91 per cent of the Saskatchewan crop is in the ground, which is ahead of the five-year average of 81 per cent. The southwest region is most advanced with 95 per cent seeded, 93 per cent is complete in the southeast, 92 per cent in the west-central, 90 per cent in the northwest, 87 per cent in the northeast and 86 per cent in the east central region.
