At Sonshine Kennels, our top priority is the safety of animals boarded or groomed in clean, safe, secure and sanitized facilities. All pets are inspected upon arrival to ensure there are no health issues, especially checking for ticks or fleas. If either are found, the pet will be given a tick/flea bath at an additional cost to the customer. To ensure the best experience for your pet, all animals are properly supervised with safe, roomy outdoor runs and cozy, clean kennels inside.
To demonstrate the importance we place on an appealing and hygienic facility, our cleaning routine is as following:
- All kennels are kept clean – floors and walls cleaned as necessary while the animal is being boarded. Bedding is checked daily and changed as needed to ensure a soft, clean bed. All dishes are cleaned and sanitized.
- Once the kennel is empty, it is completely scrubbed and sanitized after use.
- Floors and alley ways are washed daily to ensure a clean environment for all animals.
- Outdoor runs are regularly cleared of debris and waste-ensuring safety and clean play area for the animals.
- During grooming all tools are sterilized and kennels and grooming tables sanitized between dogs. All bedding towels is laundered constantly.
