What it Takes to Make a Motorcycle Hit 400MPH

If you really want to go 400 mph, you probably shouldn’t chose to do it on a motorcycle.

Two wheels work just fine at reasonable speeds, and even at ludicrous speeds. But once you’re approaching half the speed of sound, even the slightest mistake is going to end badly.

Of course, the Triumph Streamliner is a motorcycle in only the most generous sense. Yes, it has two wheels, a seat, and a handlebars. But it’s also 25.5 feet long and sheathed in a sleek, black carbon-Kevlar body that looks like a shaved catfish.
