Town of Kindersley: Proud to be Canadian

We are very thankful for what our veterans sacrificed for us to make Canada a safe and happy home. Please take some time out of your day to remember them. Lest we forget.

The Kindersley Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting a Remembrance Day Ceremony on Sunday, November 11th at the Clearview Community Church. The ceremony will begin at 10:30am. There will be lunch at the Legion Hall to follow.

  • Those wanting to join the march from the Legion Hall should be there by 10:15AM; Parade will commence approx. 10:40AM
  • Please be seated by 10:45AM in the United Church for service Lunch served at Legion Hall after service
  • Caleb Village at 2:00PM . Heritage Manor at 3:00PM
  • Chilli and Bun $10 at the Legion Hall starting at 1/2 time of the CFL playoff game
  • Bells of Peace (sunset) – Bells across Canada, as well as Kindersley will toll 100 times to mark the 100th anniversary or the end of WW1

The Legion is also hosting a ceremony at our local cemetery on Friday, November 9th to light up all the graves of the fallen soldiers during World War I and World War II. These are all resting places of Kindersley citizens. The Kindersley Branch will also be attending the Jr. Klipper game on Saturday, November 10th raising their flags to honour Remembrance Day.

The Legion would like to thank the community for their support and donations to the Poppy Fund. They appreciate all you do to keep the Veterans cared for.
