Town Office Accepting Christmas Food Hamper Donations

Help Spread Christmas Cheer

Lend a helping hand to your community this festive season and donate items to Christmas food hampers. The Town of Kindersley office is now collecting donations to the annual Christmas Food Hamper program.

The Kindersley Food Bank, The Salvation Army and the West Central Crisis Centre & Family Support Centre are joining forces for the receiving and distribution of the hampers. All hamper items will follow Canada’s For Guide expectations, along with extra festive items to encourage and support a holiday meal and treats. The hampers will be distributed to recipients within the Kindersley’s Food Bank’s service area (Kindersley, Smiley, Flaxcombe, Marengo, Alsask, Coleville, Brock and rural residents within those boundaries.

Here are some suggested items: (remember, all food donations must be non-perishable)

  • boxes of stuffing and/or cranberry sauce for the Christmas dinners
  • peanut butter
  • jam
  • rice
  • juice
  • pancake mix
  • instant oatmeal
  • syrup
  • canned foods such as soup and beans
  • lunch items
  • pasta and pasta sauce
  • cereal
  • new (unwrapped) toys, books and games for children 12 and under

Making a donation is now easier than ever, simply drop off your donations (or monetary donation) at the Town Office, 106 5 Ave E on Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30am-440pm.
