Collision Involving 4 Semis on Highway 7 East Near Darcy

Source: Kindersley RCMP File

UPDATE – 2:00PM

The Kindersley RCMP have cleared the scene of the collision previously reported.  The collision involved 4 semi truck/trailer units.  The first semi truck/trailer was eastbound, and entered the opposite lane into oncoming traffic order to avoid a collision with the vehicle in front of him.  He then drove into the north ditch.  Another semi came along from the west and hit the rear of the trailer that had entered the ditch, causing him to also go into the ditch.  A third semi came upon the scene and took the ditch in order to avoid colliding with semis already stopped in the ditch.  In doing so, he clipped a fourth semi that was turning North off of the highway.

It was extremely foggy at the time. There were no injuries reported.

Both lanes of traffic are now open.  The investigation is continuing.
