Three firefighters escaped, unharmed, from a roiling ball of flame that engulfed them on the job, thanks in part to their new protective face masks.
The close call came at a furniture store in Abbotsford, B.C., where wood dust had caught fire.
“It can be very dangerous,” Assistant Fire Chief Ron Hull told CTV Vancouver. “The dust meets oxygen and it catches fire at a rapid pace.”
