Donations Needed for Annual Christmas Santa’s Hut
You can help spread some Christmas cheer this coming holiday season. The West Central Crisis and Family Support Centre are organizing their 26th annual Santa’s Hut Christmas Drive.
The drive has been organized by the Centre to build self-esteem in the children of our community by allowing any child 14 and under an opportunity to buy new gifts for their parents, grandparents and siblings. Prices range from $.25 to $6.00 for all gifts.
The Centre appreciates any support through the donation of new gifts only, the gifts need to be suitable for children to purchase for their family members. There always seems to be a shortage of gifts for men and teenagers the Centre noted. If you are having trouble deciding what to purchase you can also make a cash donation, the Centre can use the cash to purchase the gifts needed. For cash donations of $20.00 or more official tax receipts will be issued. Gift donations can also receive tax receipts if the cash register receipt is presented with the gift.
Drop off locations for Kindersley are the West Central Crisis and Family Support Centre, 116 1 Ave W and the Kindersley Mall (donation bin outside Mall Office).
The Santa’s Hut Drive will be held in 6 different communities next month, including Rosetown on December 1, Eston on the December 3rd, Marengo on December 5th, Eatonia on December 8th and Coleville on December 7th. (See full details here)
Kindersley’s drive will be on December 15th at the Elizabeth School from 9:00AM -12:30PM.
