Gusty Northwest Winds Expected
Hold onto your hat, it will be a windy one today. A low pressure system from B.C. will be passing through central Saskatchewan on Friday night, traveling into Manitoba on Saturday. Trailing this system will be a cold front which is expected to bring gusty northwest winds through southwestern Saskatchewan.
According to Environment Canada, most areas should expect gusts of 70 or 80 km/h tonight. Some areas my reach gusts of 90 or 100 km/hr this evening.
The gusty wind will be spreading through southern areas of the province by Saturday morning.
Kindersley is expected to have warmer temperatures today, along with wind gusts of 50 km/hr in the morning climbing to near 70 km/hr by noon. The warm weather will be short lived, by tomorrow the temperatures will fall to minus 2 in Kindersley area.
