2019 SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival
Swift Current, SK – The SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival is celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year, June 22 & 23, 2019. Windscape is a free-admission family festival featuring 34 celebrity kite flyers from Italy, Colombia, the Philippines, and from across North America and the USA.
This year we have four international flyers attending to share their handmade kite creations and provide flying demonstrations; Luca Piattoni from Italy, Marco Aponte and Sayde Bruges from Colombia, and Orlando Onkingko from the Philippines.
These flyers, along with 30+ others from across North America, will fill skies above Swift Current with an incredible array of beautiful and colourful kites. The festival also offers a wide array of activities for the whole family: face-painting, kite-building, bale maze, splatter wall, hula hoops and much more! There are food vendors and facilities at the kite field, so you can easily spend an entire day or the whole weekend on the Windscape Kite Field!
The SaskPower Windscape Kite Festival will be a highlight of your Saskatchewan festival season! The festival is open Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is free. This world-class event attracts kite flyers, enthusiasts and fun-loving people from across the globe to enjoy an exciting weekend of kiting and family fun.
