Fatal Collision West of Kindersley Tuesday Night

UPDATE – 1:00PM, Jan 29

The collision resulted in a fatality. A 29-year old man is dead after his westbound truck crashed head on with an eastbound semi.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The semi driver was taken to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation, however, the road conditions and alcohol were not considered factors in the collision.

6:00AM, Jan 29 –

Both lanes of Highway 7 are now open for traffic.

4:30AM, Jan. 29 – 

One lane of traffic has been opened, traffic detour is no longer needed.

10:20PM, Jan 28 – 

Currently there is a collision on Highway 7 and both lanes are completely blocked.

Emergency crews are on scene of a collision on Highway 7 about 4 miles west of Kindersley, the accident involves a semi and a pickup.

The highway is totally blocked and the Kindersley Fire Department is currently re-routing traffic.

The Kindersley RCMP is asking motorists to please avoid the area, if you have to travel that direction be prepared for delays.
