Premier Scott Moe speaks out on behalf Saskatchewan’s hardworking people

The judges said the carbon tax law gives the federal cabinet “endlessly expansive” powers.

SASKATOON — The Alberta Court of Appeal’s ruling that the federal carbon tax legislation is unconstitutional means Saskatchewan has the full authority to implement its Prairie Resilience plan to fight climate change and reduce emissions without a federal carbon tax, Premier Scott Moe says.

“So today I am delivering a message to Prime Minister Trudeau on behalf of the people of Saskatchewan: until the Supreme Court of Canada rules, cancel your unconstitutional carbon tax on the hardworking people of the province of Saskatchewan.”
