The Wheatland Summer Reading Program is back for 2020 – and this summer we are going online. We have challenges for all ages, plus watch for our special online programming events!

Summer Reading Challenge

Summer Reading TreeBeginning June 15th, kids of all ages can participate in Game On!  Earn rewards as you read – the more you read the more entries you will earn for our prize draws!  This year we will be tracking our reading online using a website called Beanstack or their free app.  We also have a printable paper tracker you can use if you prefer!

Readers get 10 points for every book they read, OR for every 30 minutes they read. There are also five activities tied to the TD Summer Reading Club, also worth 10 points each.

After earning 10 points, readers are rewarded with a special Wheatland Regional Library Brag Tag and a chain.

Earn 100 points before July 15, 2020 and you will be entered into the Mid-Summer Super Duper Raffle.

Earn 150 points before August 21 and you will be entered in the Dog Days of Summer Super Duper Raffle.

Earn 200 points before Sept. 8 and you will be entered in the End of Summer Super Duper Raffle.

To be eligible to win brag tags and chances to win in the raffles, your progress must be logged in Beanstack at https://wheatland.beanstack.org or on the Beanstack Tracker App.  You can also use our printable tracker and bring it by your local Wheatland library and we are happy to log your reading for you.

We have some great prizes to choose from!

Our Mid-Summer and Dog Days of Summer Super Duper Raffle winners will be able to choose from prizes including a reading tent, a subscription to Chirp, Owl, or Chickadee, a Hardpressed t-shirt, a Saskatchewan flag, or a $25 gift certificate to Indigo!

The two winners of the End of Summer Super Duper Raffle can choose from a double hammock for reading, a family set of “I Love to Read” shirts, or a Kobo Clara HD 6″ Carta E Ink Touchscreen E-Reader.
