Obituaries: Judith Ann Milton

1943 ~ 2021 (age 78)

Judy passed away peacefully with her children by her side at the Eston Jubilee Lodge after being a resident for 10 years and six months.

Judy was born on April 22, 1943 to Les and Margery Atkinson of Oshawa, Ont. She was the youngest of three children, which included her Brother Neil (Bonnie) and Sister Jean (Doug).

Judy spent her youth in Oshawa, Ont. and enjoyed spending her summers at the lake with family.

In 1961, Judy met her future husband Ross Milton from Eston, Sask. who had ventured east to Oshawa with his friends to work at General Motors. Judy and Ross married on August 16, 1963 and over the next few years they started their family with three sons Don, Rick and Brent.

Ross and Judy spent 10 years in Oshawa before making the decision to head back to Saskatchewan to take over the family farm in Eston. During her time in Eston, Judy enjoyed small town rural life. She was a member of the Eston Lions 95 and Eastern Star. She dedicated many hours to both organizations.

In 1976, Judy and Ross added another addition to the family when they adopted Jody.

Judy enjoyed many summers at their family cabin at the Eston Riverside Park. She enjoyed socializing with the Riverside community.

Prior to Judy’s decline in health, she and Ross enjoyed multiple trips to the Brier, Cruises, visiting with family and traveling across Canada and into the U.S.

Judy and Ross both were very excited when their kids started to get married and were even more excited when grandchildren started coming into the picture.

Judy is predeceased by her husband Ross, her son Brent, her parents Les and Margery, her Brother Neil and her in-laws Alex and Frances.

Judy leaves to mourn her son Don Milton (Janice), A. Rick (Debbie) Milton and Jody Profit. Along with numerous extend family and friends, Judy also leaves her true pride and joy, her grandchildren, A. Cody (Taryn) Milton, CJ (Amber) Milton, Jesse Milton, Katie (Zeb) Profit, Lane Milton, Wyatt Milton, Ty Milton, Kamrynn Profit, Sophie Profit and her great-granddaughter Aubreigh Profit.

A celebration of Judy’s life is planned for Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Andrew’s United Church in Eston, Sask. with Rev. Doreen Hewitson officiating.

A special thank you to Cecil and Mary Lou Shea, Gerri Holmes, the staff at the Eston Jubilee Lodge and the numerous friends and family that were a part a Judy’s life.

Donations can be made in Judy’s memory to Eston Caring Hands.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Eston-Snipe Lake Funeral Chapel & Crematorium.
