Dangerous Persons Alert Issued After Victim Suffers Serious Injuries

A dangerous persons alert was issued after 28-year-old Jordan Nelson fled the scene of a “serious assault” and was believed to be carrying an axe. The alert was cancelled by RCMP roughly 45 minutes later after he was arrested.

RCMP recently shared that one person was taken to hospital with “serious injuries” in connection with the assault. They said Nelson, the subject of the dangerous person alert, was arrested and taken into custody “without incident.”

Meadow Lake RCMP shared the detachment received a report of a serious assault at a rural location in the RM of Meadow Lake.

Nelson, fled in a brown four-door Ford Fusion and it was believed he had an axe.

Officers from multiple detachments began looking for Nelson while emergency medical services transported the victim to hospital.

Nelson was located and arrested shortly before 2:50 p.m.
