West Central Abilities Breaks Ground in Downtown Location
The excitement continues for the organization and the community as WCA breaks ground in downtown location 122 1st Avenue West.
WCA officially turned sod for the new community centre on Wednesday September 22nd with special guests in attendance and delegates brining welcome to the new facility. Mr. Ken Francis, MLA, , spoke on behalf of the Honorable Lori Carr, Minister of Social Services expressing gratitude for the important services provided for almost 50 year by WCA to benefit individuals experiencing disabilities. His Worship Rod Perkins, Mayor of the Town of Kindersley spoke about the value the new facility brings to the community, enhancing services to the community and district. Mr. Lorne Pincemin, Councillor, Rural Municipality of Kindersley reiterated it was a long time coming, and their participation in facilitating a partnership with the town and surrounding municipalities. Mr. Lloyd Griffith, Vice Chair of WCA Board of Directors speech encompassed the journey of the challenges and triumphs that brought us to this point. All spoke on the positive engagements and contributions that were made by the parties.
It was a privilege to share this day with special guests included clients of WCA and their families, the Board of Directors, past and present, dedicated staff of WCA, individual representatives from CLSD Helen Loran and Don Epp from SARC, Contractor Mark Kolla of KBI Contracting and many other citizens.
Special tribute to our provincial and local partners who have provided financial support for this project and appreciation to all individuals and groups who have contributed to the new facility.
