2nd Annual Critical Care on the Air Radiothon in Support of STARS
Make a difference in the lives of those who live, work or play across Saskatchewan. Join us for our 2nd Annual Critical Care on the Air radiothon in support of STARS!
The two-day radiothon will be broadcast for 12 hours each day on April 13 and 14 on 37 radio stations throughout Saskatchewan, raising critical funds to ensure STARS can be there for the next patient in need.
This exciting fundraising event will shine a light on the life-saving work STARS carries out every day across Saskatchewan and will feature inspiring stories from STARS crew, patients and their families. The radiothon will also illustrate how support from businesses, community organizations and individuals makes STARS’ critical care missions possible.
Funds raised from the radiothon will go toward the purchase of six Butterfly Ultrasound machines as well as support ongoing operations of the Regina and Saskatoon STARS bases. The provincial government provides approximately 50 per cent of the funds needed to operate STARS in Saskatchewan, and the remaining $10.5 million is raised annually by the STARS Foundation.
STARS carries out an average of eight missions per day across Western Canada and flew 901 missions in Saskatchewan in the last year alone. STARS was built by the community for the community, and it is the community’s support that will enable STARS to continue its life-saving work in the province for generations to come.
When you support STARS, you ride along on every mission. Please tune in on April 13 and 14 and call 1-877-507-8277 or go to criticalcareontheair.ca for a full list of participating radio stations and to donate.
