Work for Kindersley’s Rodeo Underway

It’s hard to believe that only 18 days ago there was ice in the West Central Event Center. And now there’s a couple of feet of dirt!

The Kindersley Indoor Rodeo makes it’s 30th debut on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd. That means lots of horses, cows, bulls and of course, the rodeo clown who is just as important to the rodeo as the participants. Besides entertaining the crowd, the clown helps the riders to get away if needed by distracting the bulls and bucking broncs who can be VERY mean and ornery. The outriders also have a very tough job too. They have to look after the rider if help is needed and they always seem to work effortlessly with the participants. That shows a high level of professionalism.

Tickets for the rodeo are only $20 at the doors, youth are $10 and 5 and under are free. The rodeo dance featuring Mitch Larock and the 454 Band starts at 9:00 pm Saturday in the Co-op Arena. Admission to the dance is $20.00 and of course, no minors allowed.

The rodeo has always been well attended and the finals on Saturday are usually sold out. Come on out and support the men and women who make the rodeo their “home”.
