A warm front approaching from Alberta will spread an area of freezing rain into west central Saskatchewan late this evening.
The freezing rain may be mixed at times with rain or snow as temperatures hover near the freezing mark.
Freezing rain will taper off on Thursday morning as the precipitation transitions to snow, which may be heavy at times.
The freezing rain warning may be expanded eastward through the evening and overnight hours.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
