Major Winter Storm To Hit Saturday Morning

Weather watches have been upgraded from a winter storm watch to a winter storm warnings for all of Southern Saskatchewan as of Friday (March 1) at 3:20. The storm is expected to begin Saturday morning and possibly end Monday night. A whopping 20-40 cm of fresh snow is expected to fall!

This impactful winter system will cause issues on those roadways. Please postpone travel plans this weekend. If you must travel, Public Safety Canada encourages you to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. For information on emergency plans and kits go to https://www.getprepared.gc.ca/.

We expect to see 60-70km wind gusts which will cause little to zero visibility.
