1937 ~ 2024 (age 87)

Les and Terri Stukings, Henry, Lorraine, and Brian Ewert are saddened to announce the passing of their father/stepfather Jim Stanley Stukings. Jim was born on March 28, 1937 in Eston, SK and passed away suddenly in Swift Current, SK at the age of 87, on April 19, 2024. Jim lived in Madison, SK for most of his life on the family farm, except for the years spent in Saskatoon where he attended the University of Saskatchewan and earned his Degree in Agriculture. Jim eventually sold the family farm to move into Eston where he married the love of his life Elvera Ewert on August 23, 2008. Later in his life Jim made the decision to move to Swift Current, SK in October of 2021 to be closer to his family. He was an active resident of the apartment complex that he resided in, and family knew that there were specific dates/times to call as there was crib, exercises, coffee, bingo, and pie each week! Jim was predeceased by his parents Stan and Marion, his brother-in-law Bud, and his wife Elvera. Jim leaves behind many loved ones; his son Les Stukings (Charlene), daughter Terri Stukings, stepsons Henry (Leane) Ewert and Brian Ewert, and stepdaughter Lorraine Ewert. His two grandkids who he always met with a hug and a kiss, Mitch (Rochelle) Stukings, and Sara Stukings (Spencer). As well as two step-granddaughters Katherine (Jeff) Buhler, and Lizzy (Blake) Mealey. Jim was also blessed with two great-grandchildren Ella and Emmett Stukings, and one step-great-granddaughter Melody Buhler. Jim also leaves behind his sister June, and numerous nephews and nieces. There will be a private family internment at the Eston Cemetery followed by a come and go celebration of life on Saturday, April 27th from 2pm-4pm at the Eston Wheatland Senior Center.
