The Chamber is Heading to the Oil & Gas Show
Summer is almost here. The sun is shining (mostly), the warmer temperatures are making everyone just a little more happy, the farming community is in full swing seeding and the sound of construction equipment can be heard and seen. This is a busy time of year and the Chamber of Commerce is no different! As you may have read or heard, the Chamber has taken a booth at the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show in Weyburn on June 5th and 6th.
We have partnered with the Town to man the booth with the goal of extolling the benefits of Kindersley and area. This will give us some leverage as we continue to try to attract companies and people to come here to work, live, and play. We DO have many things going for us, although sometimes we don’t see them the same way that visitors do. The Motherwell Dam, the West Central Event Centre, including the swimming pool, world class baseball diamonds plus amazing parks, especially Baker Park with the splash park area for kids. Plus, our golf course and camp ground are busy too. But wait, there’s more!
Our tourist booth at the museum is already seeing visitors from other countries. It never fails to amaze me the looks on people’s faces when they come to Kindersley and are happy they stopped here and to see what we have and the friendly people they have met. Kindersley is the kind of place where you can put roots down and be successful and have a great standard of living. You can make friends quickly and it’s only minutes away from work! And only being 2 hours from Saskatoon and 4 hours from Calgary, what more could you ask for? Kindersley, SK. is the biggest town in the West Central Region.
