11th Avenue East Upgrade & 100 Block of 3rd Avenue West Work
11th Avenue East Upgrade
As of June 10th a portion or all of 11th Avenue East (from properties located between and including #105 – #219 11th Avenue East) has been closed to traffic due to road work.
During this project crews will remove the current asphalt surface and base material and install a thicker engineered structure that will hold up better with the increased heavy truck traffic and parking that is common to this area. We do not expect the need to remove any of the concrete curbing or gutters along 11th Avenue, however if sections do end up requiring removal this may increase timelines for completion. Road closure will commence on Monday and all businesses located along this roadway will have access from 10th Avenue East.
100 Block of 3rd Avenue East
Upgrades to this roadway will include concrete curb & gutter work and asphalt resurfacing. During construction in the upcoming weeks, beginning Monday, June 10th limited parking will occur during some time frames and will also include limited access to driveways in this area. There will also be a complete road closure that will occur that will include access points to this area from MainStreet and 1st Street East only.
