Klippers Awards Night Celebrates Excellence On and Off the Ice
The Iron Horse Kindersley Jr. Klippers recently celebrated their annual awards ceremony with notable achievements across the team.
“Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients and a MASSIVE thank you to all of our amazing sponsors for making this possible!” shared the Klippers.
Logan Linklater, the team’s captain and a local talent, dominated the evening by clinching both the Team MVP and Top Scorer awards, a result that was widely anticipated.
In other recognitions, Luke Schraeder and Nathan DeGraves received the plus/minus award. DeGraves also secured the title of Top Defenseman, further highlighting his defensive prowess.
Easton Inglis stood out with multiple accolades, including Defensive Player of the Year, the Coaches Award, and Hitter of the Year, marking a significant contribution to Kindersley’s defence.
Cody Jaman’s commitment was acknowledged through the Most Dedicated award, and he, along with Tylin Hilbig and Logan Linklater, shared the Three Stars Award for their exceptional play.
Sophomore Brodk Evans was recognized as the most improved player after a stellar season, contributing 12 goals and 30 points, including a pivotal performance in a 3-2 victory against the Bombers at the WCEC in February.
Alex Mack earned the Hustler of the Year award for his relentless effort, while Cam and Cobe Perlinger were jointly celebrated as Co-rookies of the Year.
Kyler Smith was honoured with both the Community Involvement and Scholastic Player of the Year awards.
The ceremony concluded with Brett Sautner receiving a special Lifetime Achievement Recognition Award and Doug Klassen was given the Volunteer of the Year award. Brad and Lorraine Close were recognized as Fans of the Year, acknowledging their unwavering support towards the team.
