Sun West Student Selected for Provincial Youth Council
Jan Nasibog, a Grade 11 student at Rosetown Central High School (RCHS), has been selected as a member of the Provincial Youth Council for the 2023-24 school year.
Jan was nominated by the Sun West School Division and was one of 12 students selected from students nominated by the 27 school divisions in the province. Provincial Youth Council members receive leadership training and advise the Minister of Education on educational issues important to students.
Jan was an excellent choice for the Provincial Youth Council because she is an excellent academic student who participates and leads a variety of extracurricular and community activities. She is currently in her second year as part of the Sun West Student Leadership program and very involved in student leadership, yearbook and drama at RCHS.
The first meeting of the Provincial Youth Council was Saturday, November 25. We look forward to hearing from Jan about the meeting in the near future!
