Goodbye, Farewell, Amen
Another chapter in the life of Ron Baker is closing and another one just beginning. Ron and his wife Cynthia are moving to Calgary to be closer to family and so, are saying goodbye to friends and neighbors; for now. Its nice to know they really won’t be that far away.
Ron and Cynthia have made an extremely positive impact to many people and they will be missed. Besides being my partner in podcasting, Ron was a good friend and confidant. His 1,000 watt smile could always light up a room and his depth of knowledge was impressive.
The Alliance Church in Kindersley held a pot-luck lunch for the Bakers on Sunday the 7th and it was very well attended. The food was great and the stories told were even better. Some people got up and spoke about their experiences with either Ron or Cynthia, this author included! We haven’t closed out the Kevin and Ron Show entirely. I think I may have convinced him to do a ZOOM or 2 for old times’ sake.
I know everyone who attended the lunch and the many friends and neighbors who couldn’t make it to the church, wish them well in their future endeavors. The Bakers are an exceptional couple and have left lasting impressions on many. So, its not really goodbye, its more like SEE YOU LATER!
