The question is why the government decided to grant control of a student program worth more than $900 million to the WE Charity, which has close ties to the Trudeau family.
Opposition parties are renewing their calls for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to be transparent with Canadians about a controversial, now-cancelled contract with the WE Charity ahead of an appearance by him in the House of Commons.
After facing criticism for taking a personal day on Monday as the House of Commons returned from several weeks’ suspension, Trudeau will be in question period on Tuesday afternoon and is expected to face repeated demands for answers from the opposition parties.
