Rosetown RCMP Report

January 21 at 9: 39 a.m.– Rosetown RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision on a grid road near Rosetown, SK. The matter is still under investigation. RCMP also responded to several calls due to icy roads. All passengers were safe. Members provided traffic control for the towing companies. 

January 23 at 1:28 a.m. – Rosetown RCMP received a report of assault. Members attended and a 39-year-old from Dinsmore was arrested and charged with Uttering threats, Possession of weapon, Assault, Unauthorized possession of firearm and Unsafe storage of firearms. At 11:28 a.m. A report of a suspicious vehicle was received. There was insufficient evidence to proceed. At 4: 29 p.m. -Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 4. Members were unable to locate the vehicle. 

January 24 at 11: 58 a.m. – There was a motor vehicle collision near Harris, SK. There were no injuries – reported for insurance purposes. 

January 25 at 1:19 p.m. -Rosetown RCMP received a request to serve a subpoena on an individual in the detachment area. At 11:58 a.m. – there was a report of mischief. Members attended and spoke to the subject of complaint. 

January 26 at 1:20 a.m. -Rosetown RCMP received a report of a suspicious person. Members attended and spoke to the subject of complaint. 

January 27 at 10:13 p.m. -Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Zealandia, SK. Members attended and through investigation a 50 year-old-male from McGee, SK was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. 

January 28 at 11:22 a.m. -Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7. Members were unable to locate the vehicle. At 2:18 p.m. a report of a missing person was received. Members located the subject of complaint and nothing further was required. 

January 29 at 10:44 a.m. – A report of two individuals refusing to wear masks at a hockey arena was called in. There was insufficient evidence to proceed. At 11: 33 a.m.- there was a report of theft of gas from a rural farmyard. Members located the vehicle and arrested a 24 year-old female from Alberta and a 23 year-old male from Alberta was arrested and charged with Possession of property, Theft under $5000, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation while Prohibited. 

January 30 at 10:16 a.m. – Rosetown RCMP received a received a request for a wellbeing check. Members spoke to the subject of complaint. At 3: 44 p.m. – Rosetown RCMP received a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Zealandia, SK. Members located the vehicle and issued the driver a verbal warning. At 10:37 p.m. there was a suspicious vehicle near a rural farmyard. Members were unable to locate the vehicle. 

On January 31 – Rosetown RCMP responded to several calls due to the winter storm. All passengers were safe and everyone made it home safely. We would like to remind people to stay home and not drive under these extreme circumstances as this may place additional burden on emergency services by poor decision to drive. 

February 2 at 11: 25 a.m.– There was a motor vehicle collision on Highway 7. No injuries was reported for insurance purposes. 

February 3 at 11:06 a.m. – Rosetown RCMP received a report of a traffic complaint on Highway 7 near McGee, SK. The matter is still under investigation. 

There were 36 Traffic related charges issued and, 2 911 mis dial calls and 2 false alarm calls.
