Kindersley Rotary Club Presents 400 Masks to Schools in the Area
The Kindersley Rotary club has been hard at work handing out 400 masks to schools in the area, to help protect staff and students during the ongoing pandemic.
“Presentations were made to the schools over the past two weeks. We supplied two cloth masks for all staff members, not just the teachers, in each school, and different Rotary members did the presentations to each school representative,” said Sharon Kachmarski, secretary for the Kindersley Rotary Club.
The masks, which were embroidered with the Rotary Club logo on them, were handed out in Kindersley, Eatonia, Eston and Marengo schools.
Now that all the masks are handed out, the Rotary Club is shifting focus to their annual fundraiser. This year it is the “Live on your lawn” raffle. One lucky winner will get a catered supper for up to 30 people, and the 4:54 Band will do a live performance, all at a location and date of the winner’s choosing!
Funds raised go to support Rotary projects like local educational scholarships—in fact, over the past decade they have given an incredible $40,000 to youth leadership programs, exchange trips and playground equipment.
