Bison Return To Poundmaker Cree Nation

In the future, the community plans to grow the herd by the hundreds. 

Poundmaker Cree Nation is celebrating a big moment for the community after 20 bison were re-introduced to the area.

This is the first time a herd of this size has lived on the land in more than 150 years, following annihilation of the species after colonization.
