Junior Klippers vs Yorkton Terriers

Kindersley interim head coach Tyler Traptow got the start he wanted from his squad against the visiting Yorktown Terriers. However, he did not get the final score he wanted. With head coach Ken Plaquin and the Klippers parting ways with 9 games left this season, Trapper was thrust into the position of head coach and GM to finish out this season.

The Klippers started strong and took a 3 – 2 into the 3rd period but 3 goals against them in the first 5 minutes seemed to take the wind out of their sails. Goaltender Cody Jamac played well but some defensive breakdowns saw Yorktown take the advantage. It was a strong effort but again, crazy puck bounces and deflected passes seemed the norm.

Final score was Yorkton 5 and Kindersley 4. Official attendance was listed as 388. Next home game is Friday, February 24th and Tylin Hilbig will be recognized as the RBC Community rep for the team. Puck drop is 7:30. Come on down and cheer on the Kindersley Klippers!
