Jake Vaadeland & the Sturgeon River Boys Coming To Town Jan 19
The Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils (OSAC) along with its member arts councils are proud to present Jake Vaadeland & the Sturgeon River Boys in concert. The performances are part of the 2023/2024 Stars for Saskatchewan Concert Series.
The next show for the Kindersley & District Arts Council will be Jake Vaadeland & the Sturgeon River Boys on January 19th, 2024 at 730pm at the Norman Ritchie Centre.
Jake Vaadeland is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Saskatchewan, Canada, with a traditional sound and unique style that blends Bluegrass and 50s Rockabilly. He specializes in guitar
and banjo, and focuses on storytelling and relatable messages in his music and performances with The Sturgeon River Boys. He received multiple awards including, Roots/Folk Artist of the Year and Album of
the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2022, and Fans Choice Entertainer of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Alternative Country Album of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards in 2022. His album Retro Man finished at #2 in fan voting for Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Music Awards in 2021.
