Parent Committee Hosting Coleville Fowl Supper
With fall just around the corner, one thing we can all look forward to is Fowl Suppers.
On September 26th at 5 p.m. parents from both Coleville Playschool and Rossville School will host this year’s Coleville Fowl Supper.
While the Supper has been around for decades thanks to various groups and committees, for the past few years (apart from last year due to COVID), the student’s parents have taken on the event as a way to help subsidize the playschool fees and go towards items at Rossville School such as playground equipment, which is their hope for this year.
To ensure the comfort of everyone who attends, the twenty-two families who are contributing their time towards the supper, are going the extra mile to implement COVID safety measures. Hand sanitizer stations will be placed in the hall, and optional masks will be available at the door, which you are welcome to wear until you sit to eat your meal. Rather than a self-serve potluck, some of the parents will be serving guests, reducing contact with serving utensils. All workers will be masked and gloved through the evening, and prepackaged cutlery is offered. Older students are also pitching in during the evening to wipe down seats and any other places that were used.
As always, this fantastic group of volunteers provide takeout to our farmers who can’t make it in from the field. They are also offering this option for anyone who is not yet comfortable with large gatherings.
