Missing Person Located Deceased: Weyburn RCMP
Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on February 2, 2022, a volunteer searcher located a deceased adult male in a remote area approximately 1.6 km west of Bromhead, Saskatchewan.
The deceased has been identified as Abraham Neufeld and his family has been notified of his death. Weyburn RCMP offer their sincere condolences to the family and community.
Weyburn RCMP would like to thank the community of Tribune for their support to the RCMP and other agencies assisting with search efforts. The following have been involved in the search over the past few days: Weyburn and Estevan RCMP Detachments, RCMP Police Dog Services, RCMP Search and Rescue, Search and Rescue Saskatchewan Association of Volunteers (SARSAV), Civil Air Search and Rescue, local Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers and Saskatchewan Highway Patrol officers, Tribune Fire and Rescue and the Weyburn Fire Department.

On January 31, 2022 around 9:00 p.m. Weyburn RCMP received a complaint of a missing male. 39-year-old Abraham Neufeld from the Tribune, Sk area was driving a tractor near Tribune when its reported the tractor got stuck and he became disoriented while walking to his nearby residence.
Abraham’s tractor was located empty this morning and still running approximately ¾ of a mile east of Tribune.
Abraham Neufeld has not been located. Weyburn RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers and RCMP Search and Rescue continue to search for him.
Ongoing search efforts, including marking and keeping track of areas already searched, are ongoing at this time by the organizations noted above. We recognize people want to help, and at this time, due to this coordinated effort, and the fact there is still only 30 feet or less of visibility at the search area, police stress they are not seeking the general public’s assistance with the immediate searches in the area noted above at this time. We will provide updates as they become available.
