An Excellent Baseball Weekend!

Thursday, June 16th and Friday the 17th at Berard Field in Kindersley was the scene of some excellent baseball as the WCBL’s Edmonton Prospects took on the Moose Jaw Miller Express in a 2 game series.
A beautiful summer evening with a light breeze coming in from the east cast the scene for Friday’s rematch as Moose Jaw took the opening game on Thursday by a score of 6 to 1. Edmonton came out strong on Friday and won by a score of 7 – 5.
Edmonton is in the process of building a new facility and so for now, are going “old school” and playing games against teams in different locations. Kindersley has 2 first class ball diamonds and some of the players said that they were impressed with our facility and hoped to return.
Because of the crazy rain we had recently, grounds crew, volunteers and employees from Pattison Ag did a magnificent job in getting the field ready for play. Well done to EVERYONE who came out and gave a helping hand!
