New Vice-Principal at KCS

Kindersley Composite School (KCS) will have a new Vice-Principal when school returns in the fall of 2022. Heidi Marchant, who is currently a Teacher and Career Counselor at KCS will take on this new role.

“Heidi has always demonstrated enthusiasm, leadership and she has always been an awesome team player,” commented Acting Director of Education Vicki Moore. “We look forward to seeing her good work continue in her new role as Vice-Principal at Kindersley Composite School.” She added.

Ms. Marchant earned a Bachelor of Education with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000.

Since 2002, Ms. Marchant has been a teacher at Kindersley Composite School. While teaching a variety of Grade 8-12 courses and supporting students meet their postsecondary education and career goals, she has become known for her extensive involvement in student leadership in her school as well as provincially and nationally. She has served as the Student Leadership Advisor for KCS since 2003 and is currently the Saskatchewan representative on the National Advisory Council of the Canadian Student Leadership Association and Conference Liaison, Newsletter Creator and Social Media Chair for the Saskatchewan Association of Student Council Advisors. She was the Co-Chair for the Saskatchewan Student Leadership Conference for 2010-11, when KCS was the host. Ms. Marchant was part of the team that developed the Sun West Distance Learning Centre Leadership 20L and 30L courses and she has also been the Staff Advisor for the KCS Grad since 2004.

Ms. Marchant said: “I am very excited to take on a new challenge at Kindersley Composite School. We have an amazing staff and I look forward to what the future brings.”
