Great Things Are Happening at Wheatland Libraries!
The Eston Wheatland Regional Library has recently launched their Little Free Pantry, a self-service food pantry for those in need. The pantry, located at 218 Main Street at the back of the library, is available during regular library hours.
Donations must be shelf-stable and non-perishable since there is no freezer or cooler. Donation boxes can be found at the library or at the Eston Central Plains Grocery Store. If you have any additional questions, please call the Eston Library at 306-962-3513.
The Kindersley Libary is now offering their summer programming! Every second Tuesday, they have a story time followed by a craft at 10:30-12:30 for their younger readers. Following that, they have an in person craft for the 7-12 age group at 2:30-3pm
In addition to this, the Saskatchewan Library Association (SLA) has teamed up with the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) and the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association (SRPA) to lend free passes to regional parks this summer.
From now until Sept. 15, the program will reduce barriers to participation and inspire people to get out, travel the province and enjoy the rejuvenating properties of nature.
The Kindersley Library is proud to offer this service to residents so be sure to stop in today to grab your pass! Library patrons are encouraged to call the branch to ensure the passes are still available.
