Klippers vs Melfort

SUPPORT TELEMIRACLE!
That was the theme of today’s showdown between the Kindersley Jr. Klippers and the visiting Melfort Mustangs. Lots of draws and items up for bidding with all proceeds going towards TELEMIRACLE, hosted by the Kin Club (Kinsmen and Kinettes) of Kindersley.
Oh and the hockey game was excellent too! Even though Melfort scored first, Kindersley held on and scored the next 5 goals and Melfort could only manage 1 more. Final score was Klippers 5 – Mustangs 2.
A back and forth game that was exciting to watch for the 869 fans in attendance. Even though the hometown heroes were outshot by a margin of 38 to 32, they played hard with each team taking 5 penalties each.
The 3 stars were all Kindersley. 1st – Kayden Ostrom, 2nd – Tylin Hilbig and 3rd – Logan Linklater.
Next home game for the Klippers is Friday, February 10th when the Humboldt Broncos come calling to the West Central Events Centre. Puck drop at 7:30.
