$2,850.00 Donated to KAWS in Ashlee Ward’s Memory
On Monday, September 18, KAWS Animal Rescue took to Facebook to give a loving tribute to Ashlee Ward.
“As a lot of you know, last month the world lost a beautiful soul, Ashlee Ward, much too soon. She loved animals and was a supporter of our rescue so the family asked that donations be made to KAWS in Ashlee’s name. We are very honored and amazed to announce that $2,850.00 was donated to KAWS in Ashlee’s memory! We were blown away!
Just a few weeks after Ashlee’s passing, we took in a tiny 6 day old kitten. It was touch and go for a bit and we weren’t sure she was going to make it, but she had a very strong will to live and is now 3 weeks old and thriving! We knew right away that we wanted to name this special kitten after Ashlee, so once she got a clean bill of health from the vet, we talked to the family and they loved this idea as well and thought that Ashlee would have loved having a kitty named after her. RIP Ashlee Ward, your memory will always live on and because of all the donations that were received in your name, you will be helping save animals.”
Ashlee’s mom, Meaghan Ward, also gave her thanks to Prairie Cresting. “We would like to thank Prairie Cresting Co for raising almost half of these donations with the memorial stickers they made. Amazing!”
