$70M Lotto Max Ticket Has Expired

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. has confirmed that a $70 million Lotto Max ticket, which had been unclaimed for a year, has now expired without being physically validated.

The ticket was drawn on June 28, 2022, and was purchased from a lottery retailer in Scarborough. Typically, players have one year to claim their prize.

As the deadline of 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28 passed, the physical ticket worth $70 million was not validated at an OLG terminal.

If an attempt is made to validate the lottery ticket after the one-year expiry date, the OLG terminal will display a message informing the customer that the ticket has expired.

To jog the memory of the ticket owner, the OLG launched an awareness campaign regarding the unclaimed jackpot ticket from that specific draw. As a result, the OLG received over 1,100 calls from individuals claiming to have lost their winning ticket.

In a statement, the OLG emphasized its commitment to ensuring that the rightful owner of a winning ticket receives the correct prize. However, due to the high number of lost ticket claims, a dedicated team of lottery investigators needs sufficient time to review all potential claims made before the expiry deadline.

Once the comprehensive review process is concluded, the OLG will provide a further update regarding the prize.

If the $70 million Lotto Max ticket remains unclaimed, the prize money will be redistributed to players through future bonus games or promotions.

The winning numbers for the June 28, 2022, Lotto Max draw are 8, 19, 22, 41, 42, 46, 47, with a Bonus number of 10.
