Acting Vice-Principal Becomes Permanent at KCS
After serving for several months as Acting Vice-Principal of Kindersley Composite School, Kelsea Glencross will be the permanent Vice-Principal, starting in the fall of the 2023-24 school year.
“Kelsea has been doing very well in the role of Vice-Principal,” stated Sun West Director of Education Vicki Moore, “we are very pleased to have her continue in this position.”
Mrs. Glencross received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011, where she was part of the College of Education Sequential Program.
After a short stint as an Educational Assistant at Westberry Elementary School in Kindersley, she started her teaching career as the Grade 9 Math and the 20/30 Career Work Exploration Teacher for Kindersley Composite School in 2011. She worked at KCS until 2015 where she taught mainly Grade 8 in such subjects as Science, Math, Career, Health and Physical Education. In 2015, she became the Grade 8 Homeroom Teacher at Elizabeth Middle School in Kindersley until going back to KCS in 2021 where she was the Grades 10-12 Math and Wellness Teacher. In February this year, Mrs. Glencross was appointed Acting Vice-Principal at KCS.
Mrs. Glencross is very active in school extracurricular and communities activities. She has been the organizer of the local Terry Fox Run, Manager for Kindersley Minor Hockey and PeeWee Softball and an Executive Member of the Kindersley Skating Club. She has coached KCS Junior Girls and Senior A Volleyball, Elizabeth Middle School Basketball and Cross Country. She has been a KCS Student Leadership Council Advisor and a Chaperone for the Kindersley Travel Club to several overseas locations.
