Kindersley Fire Responds to Structure Fire; Home A Complete Lost to Owners
Last night (July 26) at 10:35 pm, Kindersley Fire responded to a structure fire in Flaxcombe. The firefighting team deployed two tenders, two class A pumpers, and a wildland unit.
Upon arrival at the scene, 16 firefighters were confronted not only with a mobile home engulfed in flames but also 40 to 50 trees surrounding the residence that had caught fire. Fortunately, the wind was relatively calm, blowing at only 18 to 28 km/h, which allowed the department to gain control over the situation by 11:34 pm. The firefighters effectively used water and foam from two pumpers and the wildland unit to combat the blaze.
By 11:36 pm, the fire was successfully extinguished. However, the mobile home is a complete loss for its owners. Thankfully, nobody was home at the time of the fire. The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined.
By 12:51 am, all firefighting units were clearing the scene, and by 2:08 am, all units were back in service.
